Agriculture Mechanics

Since Sharyland FFA’s beginning, Agriculture Mechanics has played an important role in student constructed facilities, repairs and exhibited projects.  Mr. Jarrett utilized the use of high school students to construct things such as football concession stands, an Ag. farm facility, an automotive canal bridge, the steel “S” at the High School entrance and much more.  Upon his retirement in 1986, Mr. H. Garza and Mr. R. Gonzalez kept up the tradition in providing productive hands-on training with many other campus projects up until the early 90’s.  Today, students are given these same hands-on opportunities in our Ag. shop facility.  Just look in the photo gallery below to view projects constructed by students within the Agriculture Mechanics Program.
